Effective: March 12, 2026
This policy covers all Akataleptos services: the W@Home distributed computing application (Android, Windows, macOS, Linux), the akataleptos.com website, and the W@Home Hive server at wathome.akataleptos.com.
W@Home collects the minimum data necessary to coordinate distributed computation:
Computation results are used exclusively for mathematical research — specifically, spectral analysis of Menger sponge W-operators to search for physical constants in eigenvalue ratios. Results are aggregated, verified through quorum validation, and published as part of open scientific research.
Worker IDs and session statistics appear on the public leaderboard. IP addresses are never displayed publicly.
All data is stored on a single server operated by Akataleptos. We do not use cloud services, third-party databases, or external analytics platforms. The database is SQLite on a Linux VPS.
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties. Aggregated, anonymized computation results may be published in research papers or on the Akataleptos website.
Computation results are retained indefinitely as part of the scientific record. Worker IDs and session statistics are retained as long as the leaderboard is active. IP logs are retained for 90 days for abuse prevention, then deleted.
Since we don't collect personal information, there is typically nothing to request deletion of. If you want your worker ID and associated statistics removed from the leaderboard, contact us and we will remove them.
W@Home does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The application performs mathematical computation and does not contain content directed at children.
The Android app requests the following permissions:
